Q:    Why are you doing this test?

A:    This test is a short-term experiment designed to help us gather feedback to enhance the Mixer experience. 

Q:    What are the eligibility requirements?

A:    Participants must meet the following requirements in order to be eligible:

  • Reside in the U.S.
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a minimum channel age of 2 months
  • Have streamed for over 8 hours in the last 2 weeks 

Q:    How will I know if I’m chosen as a participant?

A:    Once you sign up, we will verify your information and contact you in the weeks leading up to the promotion with confirmation of your participation.  
Please be sure to check your junk and spam folders.

Q:    Why are payouts in the form of Visa Gift Cards? Why not cash?

A:    In order to simplify the procurement of prizes and to be able to get them to participants as quickly as possible it was easier for us to use Visa gift cards.

Q:    I meet all the requirements, but I wasn’t chosen. Why?  

A:    The first 3,000 users to sign up were selected for this test. Be sure to keep an eye on the Mixer blog for future test opportunities.

Q:    How long does this test run for?

A:    This test will run from May 15th to August 1st, 2019.

Q:   Why is payout done at the end of the promotion only?

A:    The promotion is set up to facilitate the fulfillment of prizes to ensure correct amounts are sent to everyone.

Q:    Why is this only open to U.S. participants?

A:    This test is a short-term experiment designed to help us gather feedback to enhance the Mixer experience. We don’t have anything to share beyond that.

Q:    Does this mean you’ll be expanding Embers to non-partnered channels?

A:    Right now, Embers can only be spent on Mixer partner channels. This test is a short-term experiment designed to help us gather feedback to enhance the Mixer experience. We don’t have anything to share beyond that.

Q:    What other experiments can I participate in?

Q: Why $50/5000 Embers minimum?

A: This is a short-term experiment designed to help Mixer gather valuable feedback to enhance the Mixer experience. The payout minimum is part of the experiment purpose and something we are looking for feedback on.

Q:    When are payouts for Embers 4 All v1 going out?

A:   Fulfillment will start within a month of the end of the promotion. Expect to receive your payment within 60 days of the promotion.

Q:   Why is payout done at the end of the promotion only?

A:    The promotion is set up to facilitate the fulfillment of prizes to ensure correct amounts will be sent to everyone.

Q:   When are payouts for Embers 4 All v2 going out?

A:    Within 60 days after the end of the promotion.

Q:   Do I need to pay taxes?

A:    Tax forms will be sent to you if you qualify for taxes.

Q:   Who will be issuing the cards?

A:   Mixer is working with a third party provider. Expect to be contacted by notification@prepaiddigitalsolutions.com. Subject line will be “Your Mixer Reward Has Arrived.”

Q:   I have a problem with my card, what should I do?

  • The customer service 800 number for digital redemption is: +1-877-325-844
  • Hours of operation of our customer service team is 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. CST.
  • The e-mail does not include this number, but it can be found on the digital redemption website ( this is included in the email ) 
  • The customer service 800 number for physical card option is: +1-866-230-3809
  • This is listed on the front and back of the branded Mixer Visa Card
  • Hours of operation are 24/7

Q:   I participated on the first test and didn't hit the min cap, what happens to those Embers?

A:   They will roll over to the current promotion. The same minimum cap is in place. ( $50/5000 Embers )

Q:   I participated on the first test and earned more than the $500 cap, what happens to those Embers?

A:   Unfortunately, we won't be able to pay out those Embers. For the new promotion, you now have unrestricted access to earn as much as you want!
