On Official Mixer channels such as Hypezone, Channel One and Mixer, you may see Global Moderators (teal names) keeping the chat positive and safe for the channel rating level. Many users have asked for more information regarding what Global Moderators will remove and what their powers are.
Global Mods cannot ban you from the site or delete/suspend your channel. Global Moderators cannot answer question about the Mixer Rules of Conduct, those questions should be directed to guardians@mixer.com. Only users with yellow names (Staff) can ban/suspend/delete. CAT Guardians have the same color as "Staff" and will send an email with the rule violation and steps to appeal if a CAT agent is the person taking action due to a violation.
Global Mods, can timeout users from a channel chat, ban a user from a channel chat and/or timeout a user from all chats.
Timeouts and Channel Bans are not appealable.
First and most importantly, Global Mods will remove anything that violates the Mixer Rules of Conduct. They will report these messages directly to CAT for further action.
Other than the site wide rules, different official channels have different levels of moderation depending on the channel rating.
All Official Mixer Channels and events : These do not apply to the hosted streamer chat on Hypezone.
- Garbage Text - meaningless text strung together that does not make sense.
- First Violation - message deleted
- Second Violation - 10 minute channel timeout
- Third Violation - 20 minute channel timeout
- Fourth Violation - channel ban
- Self-Promotion/PG-13 Language/Sexual innuendo
- First Violation - message deleted
- Second Violation - 10 minute channel timeout
- Third Violation - 20 minute channel timeout
- Fourth Violation - channel ban
- Non-constructive negativity - negative comments that contribute to a conversation such as "The UI overlay is making it hard for me to see and its annoying" are fine, "This sucks" on the other hand is not constructive and may be removed.
- First Violation - message deleted
- Second Violation - 10 minute channel timeout
- Third Violation - 20 minute channel timeout
- Fourth Violation - 20 minute Global Timeout - no chatting in any channel
- Fifth Violation - 60 minute Global Timeout and a "Bad Actor report"
- Sixth Violation - Channel Ban
In addition to the moderation actions above, there are a few additional times where Global Moderators will remove messages or timeout a user in certain channels.
Hypezone Hosted Channel: This is the streamer being hosted, not the main Hypezone channel. Hypezone is meant to be a fun way for users to discover new streamers, users jumping from the main chat to the streamer's chat and behaving negatively ruins the experience for everyone.
- Site rule violations will result in a channel ban and a report to CAT for further action
- Malicious Spamming
- 20 minute timeout
- Sexual Innuendo unless the streamer has clearly stated in their channel description that they are ok with this
- 20 minute timeout
- Negativity towards the streamer or other chatters
- First Violation - 10 minute channel timeout
- Second Violation - 20 minute channel timeout
- Fourth Violation - 20 minute Global Timeout - no chatting in any channel
- Fifth Violation - 60 minute Global Timeout and a "Bad Actor" report

- Appearance Based Comments: "ur hot/cute/fat/ugly" etc
- First Violation - message deleted
- Second Violation - 10 minute channel timeout
- Third Violation - 20 minute channel timeout
- Fourth Violation - channel ban
